Venus is one of two planets — the other being Uranus — that rotates in the opposite direction of the Earth. In charge of love, beauty and pleasure this scorching hot planet nicknamed “Earth’s evil twin” influences our love lives, financial matters, creativity, sensuality and more values that make our world go round.
June 4 brings the yearly alliance of the sun and Venus, known to most as “Venus cazimi.” It marks the transition of Venus from a morning star to an evening star in the “superior conjunction,” making it take more of a diplomatic and airy approach to matters, instead of the earthy and rigid vibe it carries as a morning star.
Five of these cazimi over the course of some years create what is known as the Venus Star Point — a cosmic phenomenon that brings forth our innermost desires and influences us to take stock of what we value most.
With the Venus Star Point occurring on June 4, we tapped astrologer and author Arielle Guttman, who coined the term Venus Star Point in her book Venus Star Rising: A New Cosmology for the 21st Century, to explain what this magnificent and fantastic transit will bring.
What is a Venus Star Point?
Venus and Earth orbit the Sun and create a “relationship dance” since they move at the same speed most of the time.
There are five Venus cazimi — a Latin term for when the sun and Venus form a conjunction in the same sign and degree — in the eight years that define essential moments in the timeline. When these transits occur throughout the years, they activate five points in the sky that create an energetically charged pentagram shape known as the Venus Star Point.
The Venus Star Point in Gemini first began in 1964 and has occurred every four years since. However, each series is sequenced in an eight-year cycle, hitting pivotal points every four years. For example, the Venus Star Point in Gemini began in 1964. The second part of that story then began in 1968 and the final part in 1972.
Another Venus Star Point then commenced in 1976, with the middle beginning in 1980 as 1984 marked the beginning of the end for that sequence.
June 4, 2024 marks the beginning of the middle journey of our current cycle which commenced on June 3, 2020 and will end on June 1, 2028.
Who will be affected the most by the Venus Star Point ?
Everyone! Mutable signs — Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius and Pisces — will feel the transit most because Gemini is a mutable sign, too, and will affect their derived angular houses.
For Gemini, the Venus Star Point will affect their identity, while Virgos will feel the energy in the career sector of their chart. Sagittarians will see shifts in their relationships and Pisces are going to feel the energy in their home life.
Taurus and Libra may also feel the energy because they are the signs ruled by the planet Venus.
What should you manifest during the Venus Star Point?
The Venus Star Point is the perfect time to manifest romance, financial expansion, bring some of your more fringe ideas to the forefront and practice a little more self-love.
The moon will be in Taurus during the Venus Star Point, an excellent lunar placement that will heighten your visions and help make them a reality.
Mercury and Jupiter also meet up during this time and get a powerful push from Pluto, expanding your mind and giving an extra boost of good energy.
Venus also connects with the Nodes of Destiny, making it a fated time to attain our dreams. With a stellium of planets in Gemini — the Sun, Mercury, Venus and Jupiter — and the new moon in Gemini occurring two days later on June 6, it’s vital to address the universe and ask for what we want.
After all, Gemini is ruled by the planet Mercury, so communication is critical.
