HOROSCOPES BY HOLIDAY, BY HOLIDAY MATHIS
A squared aspect involving Mars in the early degrees of Taurus and Pluto in Aquarius suggest that new expenses have the potential to cause tension or throw a wrench in the plans. But at least the feelings have something to teach us, likely about what we value, how much and what we’re willing and not willing to do in order to have it.
ARIES (March 21-April 19). Repetition is one way to create magic in your day. The tasks you repeat will make you strong. The words you repeat will give you a purpose that grows and deepens. The people you come back to again and again will fortify you.
TAURUS (April 20-May 20). You go out of your way to try to understand someone who is not so easy to figure out. You really want to know their motivations and the feelings they are not showing, and with patience, you’ll make some headway in this regard.
GEMINI (May 21-June 21). Your thoughtfulness has often shown up in the way you tailored gestures and gifts to each friend’s preferences and interests. Now that same quality will be lavished on you, and it will feel terrific to know you had it coming.
CANCER (June 22-July 22). There are those who display their nonconformity by conforming to the other nonconformists — in other words, they think differently in the same way. Maybe there’s nothing new under the sun, but you’ll have a take on it that is truly original.
LEO (July 23-Aug. 22). You may inwardly feel nervous about how others are viewing you, but you’re doing better than you think. Relax to whatever extent you can, and if it’s not possible, then just embrace the unease.
VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22). Before you single someone out with praise, remember that not everyone wants to be complimented publicly, as the attention sets up expectations or disallows for unselfconscious freedom, experimentation and the like.
LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23). Sometimes you feel like following the rules, and sometimes you feel like breaking them, but you always prefer to at least know what the rules are. In today’s case, it won’t be so obvious. Feel free to ask.
SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21). Life is a sensory experience. If you’ve been depriving yourself in some way, your senses will speak up today in the form of cravings, longings, urges and the like. You were meant to feel and enjoy things.
SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21). Success doesn’t always come in the form of abundance. There’s a point in which too much of a thing can be cumbersome, heavy and difficult to manage. Today will highlight the benefits to having less instead of more.
CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19). The reality of what’s happening doesn’t always relate to the feelings you’re having in that reality. For instance, running can feel more like flying than being in a jet does. Stay open-minded.
AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18). It’s easy to help those you like, but it’s not so easy to help difficult people who may in fact need the most help of all. You’ll show your remarkable heart and character through such acts of service.
PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20). Your nonjudgmental and compassionate nature makes people feel heard, valued and understood. The right questions pop to mind, and most will be open to your curiosity and perhaps even flattered by it.
TODAY’S BIRTHDAY (June 11). People want to be around you because you’re fun, but it’s your loyalty and trustworthiness that keeps them orbiting. It’s a year of thrilling opportunities, and because of your willingness to tolerate the adrenaline surges, much will open up for you. More highlights: a powerful attraction, an impressive certification and family expansion. Virgo and Cancer adore you. Your lucky numbers are: 12, 2, 14, 38 and 33.
CELEBRITY PROFILES: It would be hard to name a movie more anticipated than Francis Ford Coppola’s “Megalopolis,” which has been in script form since the 1980s. Landing a lead role certainly speaks to the intensity, versatility and charm of Shia LaBeouf. These are, of course, qualities synonymous with Gemini. LaBeouf was born under a Leo moon, which is the moon of entertainment. Mercury and Venus in Cancer speak to a maternal bond — LaBeouf’s mother has been a dynamic presence in his adult life and career choices.
