HOROSCOPES BY HOLIDAY, BY HOLIDAY MATHIS
Yesterday, the moon was new in her favorite place of all. Today, she moves through home like a housekeeper on a mission to organize it all. If it doesn’t have a place, it will get one or find a new one in the giveaway or the garbage pile. Everything will get a sweep of the dust rag or broom. Even relationships will get a polish and shine.
ARIES (March 21-April 19). The thunder showers that seem scary also provide a contrast, feed the flowers and fix the weather by providing a break from oppressive humidity. Anyway, there’s nothing you’re afraid of, especially not a little noise.
TAURUS (April 20-May 20). The complexity of existence will exist in liminal moral spaces. As you create, you’re not overly concerned with being wrong or right and you will accidentally land in a colorful zone that cannot be accurately categorized in polarizing terms.
GEMINI (May 21-June 21). You’re a designer today with a skill for shaping work and other things to create a sense of flow in your days. This could pertain to a product or to the approach and rules you give a special relationship.
CANCER (June 22-July 22). Your work has relevance beyond what it means to you and you’ll get a glimpse of it today. Goals will be as intrinsically motivating as your understanding of how they fit into the larger purpose.
LEO (July 23-Aug. 22). Fun matters. A lot. People will learn that you’re not just about the business at hand. You value people and their experiences. You want to provide them with an experience that feels comfortable but also exciting. You’ll do it, too.
VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22). You cannot put a price tag on some things, but you know they are valuable. The only way to figure out their value is to give, trade, wear, embody and enact them. And though this may seem like an obtuse instruction, you’ll figure it out.
LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23). You’re aware so much that you sometimes wonder if it might actually be too much. If you couldn’t handle or process it, you wouldn’t notice it. It will help you to take notes and also to adopt an attitude of non-judgment.
SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21). Something you romanticized will be just about the way you dreamed, proof that your imagination is a strong agent of manifestation. Do you dare give it a run and more magic? Of course. Go bigger! Also softer, lighter, dreamier!
SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21). You are an egalitarian. But even though you don’t think your work or station is any better or less than that of any other person on the earth, please give a nod to how unique it is. Singular, some would say — and they’d be right.
CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19). The law of physics also happens to be an emotional truth: If you push on anything, it pushes back. Or it should. Or it usually does. Today it won’t. Enjoy your influence, which will be accidental at times and other times intentional.
Other advice columns
AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18). The emotional spectrum gets a beautiful arch, at once higher, lower, longer and more colorful. Even so, you live in the real world. Doing ordinary things with extraordinary feeling will become your jam.
PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20). You’ll lead with love and you won’t go wrong. It will help you luxuriate in the fun, curious and wonderful moments, and it will also help you push through moments of discomfort and unrest. Love is a balm.
TODAY’S BIRTHDAY (July 6). Your solar return begins a cycle of wisdom, adaptability, exciting personal development. You’ll know many “yous” in one year, and because of this you will relate to a wide range of kindred souls. More highlights: You’ll develop brilliant ideas into remarkable events, entities and experiences. You’ll cash out, pay in and pony up — then comes the windfall. Aquarius and Virgo adore you. Your lucky numbers are: 8, 19, 3, 39 and 41.
CELEBRITY PROFILES: “Be kind whenever possible,” says the 14th Dalai Lama of Tibet; then he adds, “It is always possible.” His Holiness was born when the sun and Pluto were in nurturing Cancer and Mercury was in quick-thinking, eloquent Gemini. It would seem the Dalai Lama’s mission of compassion, tolerance, inter-religious harmony and peace is ever-green in its relevance and needed in the world now more than ever.
