The NBA Finals are upon us.

After a week-long layoff from NBA action, the Dallas Mavericks and the Boston Celtics will play Game 1 of the 2024 NBA Finals tonight.

Here are some player props to consider when betting on Game 1 of this best of seven Championship series.

Jayson Tatum (BOS) Over 27.5 Points -108

No player is coming into this year’s NBA Finals with more on the line than Celtics superstar Jayson Tatum.

The All-Star forward, who has made major leaps since his last Finals appearance, will be looking to finally etch his name into the NBA history books as a champion.

So far throughout this postseason he’s been solid, but is lacking that one takeover game that fans will reminisce on when looking over Tatum’s career.

Tonight, Tatum could have that game.

Jayson Tatum has been a force to be reckoned with, consistently dominating the Mavericks in their recent matchups, averaging an impressive 34.3 points and 11.5 rebounds per game against Dallas.

He should have no trouble crossing the 27-point mark, leading us to take the over on this prop.

Derrick White (BOS) Over 14.5 Points -102

No one has been more crucial in Boston’s postseason run than Derrick White.

White, throughout the playoffs, is averaging a staggering 17.8 points per game; having reeled off some big-time performances against the Heat and Cavaliers in the Celtics’ first and second rounds.

He has cleared 14.5 points in 9 of 14 Celtics playoff games.

And considering Dallas’ attention may be laser-focused on Brown and Tatum, it could lead to a big game from the scrappy point guard.

White is one of the biggest X-Factors in this series. How well he plays could potentially swing this series for Boston, and we expect his stellar play to continue heading into Game 1.

Luka Doncic (DAL) to record a Double-Double -230

Just like Tatum, Luka Doncic will also be looking to make a little bit of history in his own right.

Doncic has managed to get a double-double within either category of points+assists/rebounds in 8 of the last 10 postseason games for the Mavericks.

Considering the weight of tonight’s game and how often Doncic has managed stuff on the stat sheet, he should have no problem crushing this prop.

Daniel Gafford (DAL) Over 13.5 Points+Rebounds -125

Mavericks’ big man Daniel Gafford has been a stud since joining Dallas via trade during the regular season.

Gafford has shown to be a much needed interior force for the Mavericks in their postseason run.

He has been able to cross this prop in their last two games against the Minnesota Timberwolves and should have a big-time performance against the aging Al Horford and a limited Kristaps Porzingis.

We’ll take the over on him.
