You might not have noticed if you have been stranded on a desert island somewhere in the south Pacific, but most fans of the Boston Celtics (and fans of the league in general) have taken note of the big leap forward we have been seeing from backup Boston combo guard Payton Pritchard. The leading Sixth Man of the Year candidate has been turning it up to 11 on both ends of the court so far this season, and opposing ball clubs have been taking extensive notes on it.
Asked what made that leap possible for him this season after a recent Boston win, the the University of Oregon alum opened up on what was behind his explosive growth as a player. “Any moment I had a chance to play, and I was ready to play. I never had a problem with that,” he explained.
“But it wasn’t like I wasn’t playing on non-game days and preparing myself for the moment,” added Pritchard. “So I’ve been preparing myself for this moment for a long time.” The folks at the “CLNS Media Boston Sports Network” got it all on video for you to watch. Check it out below!
