You can take the man out of the Boston Celtics, but you cannot take the Boston Celtics out of the man, at least in the case of beloved Celtics guard alum Marcus Smart. The Oklahoma State alum made the trip back to TD Garden in Boston to face his former ball club with his new one, the Memphis Grizzlies.
Ahead of the game, the Flower Mound, Texas native took some time to talk over his bond with the fans of the Celtics, which endures among many Boston gans even today — even with the former Celtics floor general getting ready to try to deal his former team a loss on their own home court. The folks behind the “CLNS Media Boston Sports Network” YouTube channel got the whole chat on video for us to watch later.
