I Walked All Over Boston in the Trusty Sneakers Meghan Markle and Jennifer Aniston Wear

Must Read

My fiancé and I are big travelers—and I don’t say that lightly. This summer alone, we visited California (twice), are hitting up Vegas, and will soon be journeying to Hawaii for my best friend’s wedding. Our most recent trip? Boston, Massachusetts, where we walked the Freedom Trail; a 2.5-mile-long path that passes through 16 historical sites. Living in NYC, we’re pretty used to walking long distances, but a good pair of comfy sneakers were still essential. Thankfully, I brought my New Balance 327 kicks.

Funnily enough, New Balance is headquartered in Massachusetts, but that’s not why I went with the trusty shoes. Worn by Meghan Markle and Jennifer Aniston, to name a few, the sneakers exude retro vibes, including an oversized brand logo, suede-and-mesh upper, almond toe, and lace-up closure. The flared, lugged sole makes them all the more trendy, while contrasting colors keep them playful.

But these kicks don’t just talk the talk; they walk the walk (no pun intended). Whether I was treading on concrete, pavement, or dirt, the shoes provided ample traction and stability without ever being uncomfortable. Thanks to the stretchy and breathable nylon silhouette, cramped toes were also a thing of the past—even after my feet had swollen from trekking all over the city. I’ve also never, ever gotten a blister from these shoes, and I’ve worn them upwards of 50 times—and while we’re on the subject, they still look as good as new.

While comfort is certainly the standout feature here, a modern and easy-to-style silhouette doesn’t hurt. I paired mine with mini shorts, a simple black tank top, and tube socks for a laid-back approach. Though, they can easily be elevated with the help of a blazer and sleek tote for the office or straight jeans and fancy sunglasses for a shopping date.

However, there is a downside to these must-have shoes. Due to their totally incredible characteristics, just about everyone wants a pair, making them disappear off of virtual shelves all the time. Lucky for you, they’ve recently been restocked on Zappos, Anthropologie, Free People, and Nordstrom—so grab a pair while you still can.
