The Boston Celtics championship parade celebrating the team’s 18th banner is Friday, June 21.

The heat is supposed to break, according to the National Weather Service. The duck boats will be out in full force. More than a million fans are expected to show up, according to the city.

It should be a good time.

But there are rules and safety measures it place to make sure that it is, in fact, a good time. So if you’re planning to go here’s what to know.

What safety measures are being taken for the Celtics parade?

According to the City of Boston website:

What items are banned from the Celtics parade?

The following is prohibited at Championship parade:

  • Alcoholic beverages
  • Large bags, coolers or glass containers
  • Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV), commonly referred to as “drones,” along the parade route
  • Weapons of any kind (or replicas of such)
  • Fireworks

Any other rules?

The city has said they will have no tolerance for underage and public drinking of alcohol. Disorderly and disruptive behavior is also out, as it is meant to be a family-friendly event.

The other major no is climbing on things. The city said, “climbing or standing on mailboxes, bus vestibules, rooftops or light polls is prohibited.”

If you see something, say something

Commissioner Michael A. Cox of Boston Police Department stated on the City of Boston website, “Please be aware of your surroundings in general – if you see something that looks suspicious, please say something by dialing 911. This is a championship city and I’m sure our crowds will continue to show that Boston’s the best in the world.”

Are there parking restrictions for the Celtics parade?

According to the City of Boston website, the following parking restrictions apply:

  • Causeway Street, Both sides from North Washington Street to Merrimac Street
  • Staniford Street, Both sides from Causeway Street to Cambridge Street
  • Cambridge Street, Both sides from Staniford Street to Tremont Street
  • Tremont Street, Both sides from Cambridge Street to Boylston Street
  • Boylston Street, Both sides from Washington Street to Massachusetts Avenue

Additional parking restrictions are as follows according to Wicked Local media partner WCVB Channel 5:

  • Charles Street South, Both sides from Park Plaza to Boylston Street
  • Charles Street, Both sides from Beacon Street to Boylston Street
  • Arlington Street, Both sides from Newbury Street to Saint James Avenue
  • Berkeley Street, Both sides from Saint James Avenue to Newbury Street
  • Clarendon Street, Both sides from Saint James Avenue to Newbury Street
  • Dartmouth Street, Both sides from Newbury Street to Saint James Avenue
