The big news coming out of Game 3 was the injury to Boston forward Brad Marchand. The Bruins’ captain took a solid hit from Sam Bennett in the first period of Game 3 and struggled to get off the ice. He logged just over 10 minutes of ice-time in the first and second periods but was noticeably struggling and didn’t come out for the third. Marchand is officially out of Game 4 with an upper-body injury.
Marchand leads the Bruins in playoff scoring with 10 points in 10 games.

The best odds to register a point in Game 4 belong to Florida’s playoff scoring leader Matthew Tkachuk (-220), who has 13 points in the postseason to date. David Pastrnak has the best odds among Boston players at -210, while Aleksander Barkov, who has six points in the last two games, is at -200.
The shortest odds in the anytime goalscorer market belong to Florida’s Sam Reinhart (+110), who finished second to Auston Matthews with a career-high 57 goals in the regular season. The 28-year-old hasn’t been nearly as prolific in the playoffs, with three goals in 10 games so far.
Panthers vs Bruins Game 4 Predictions
The Bruins have looked to be on fumes the past two games. Not only do they have a -9 goal differential in the last 120 minutes, the xGF from Games 2 and 3 both heavily favored Florida as well: 4.47 to 1.19 in Game 2 and 4.07 to 2.12 in Game 3.
Losing Marchand is just another nail in the coffin for the struggling Bruins. They got past Toronto in round one with a defense-first approach that largely stymied the Leafs’ stars. Florida, though, appears to be considerably healthier, and is far deeper. Florida’s “second line” (Bennett-Tkachuk-Verhaeghe) would be the undisputed first line on the majority of teams in the league.
FLA vs BOS Game 4 picks:
- Panthers moneyline (-166)
- Pastrnak under 0.5 points (+160)
