Today, Etihad Airways, the national carrier of the UAE, unveiled significant enhancements for the North American sector, timed perfectly for the upcoming winter travel period. This initiative underscores the airline’s commitment to ensuring smooth travel experiences.

Starting October 27, Etihad will elevate its nonstop flight frequency from Boston to Abu Dhabi, moving from four weekly flights to a daily service. This expansion caters to both North American business and leisure travelers, offering greater flexibility and choice for journeys to the UAE, the broader Gulf area, and the Indian subcontinent.

This enhancement in Boston service frequency follows robust performance on this route and occurs three months after Etihad introduced Boston as its latest U.S. destination, alongside established routes to Chicago, New York, Washington D.C., and Toronto in Canada, thus broadening its reach across North America.

“Our Boston service continues to perform strongly, with our flights near capacity since our inaugural flight in Boston this March,” said Arik De, Chief Revenue and Commercial Officer at Etihad. “Having already experienced record passenger demand, we’re excited to invest further in the North American market by expanding our flight frequency out of Boston ahead of the peak winter travel season.”

Flights from Boston Logan International Airport to Abu Dhabi will be operated using the modern Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, which boasts Etihad’s renowned Business Studios and Economy Smart seats. The aircraft, configured with 28 Business and 262 Economy seats, is fitted with cutting-edge entertainment options, in-seat power, and Wi-Fi connectivity, ensuring a pleasant and connected journey. Passengers will experience exceptional service and hospitality, enhancing the overall travel experience.

The schedule for the Boston route is strategically planned to facilitate convenient connections through Etihad’s expanding network, specifically for corporate and leisure travelers heading to the UAE, the Gulf region, and to Etihad’s 11 direct routes to India.

Etihad’s collaboration with JetBlue offers seamless connections across numerous North American cities, opening up a plethora of travel opportunities throughout the continent.

“The Airbus A350 is setting new standards for air travel, with increased efficiencies and comfort. The introduction of the A350 to Toronto aligns with our strategy to meet increasing customer demand and expand our network.” said Arik De.

Additionally, the US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) facility at Zayed International Airport allows passengers to complete US immigration and customs inspections before departure. This means travelers can disembark, collect their luggage, and proceed without delay upon arrival in the US, with the facility being the only one of its kind in the Middle East.

Toronto’s Introduction to the Airbus A350

This fall, alongside the increased Boston flights, Etihad is set to introduce a daily Airbus A350 service to Toronto Pearson Airport, starting October 27.

The Airbus A350, powered by Rolls-Royce Trent XWB engines, stands out as one of the most efficient aircraft globally, reducing fuel consumption and CO2 emissions by 25% compared to previous models. The aircraft features Etihad’s latest cabin design, offering meticulous attention to detail.

The redesigned Business class includes 44 Business Studios, offering enhanced privacy, direct aisle access, and fully flat beds measuring 79” in length with extensive storage. Business passengers can enjoy a cinematic experience with noise-cancelling headphones and an 18.5” TV screen, alongside a built-in wireless charging dock and Bluetooth connectivity for personal devices.

Business class travelers have the choice of a select à la carte menu or the ‘dine anytime’ service signature to Etihad. For more details on Etihad Airways, or to book flights to Boston or Toronto, please visit Etihad.com or use the Etihad Airways app.
