Debby Wrecks Havoc On Air Travel: Hundreds Of Boston Flights Delayed

BOSTON, MA — Impacts from Tropical Storm Debby appear to be hitting travelers going to and leaving from Boston’s Logan Airport. As of 3:45 p.m. Monday, flight tracking website FlightAware.com is reporting 326 flights are either delayed or canceled at the airport.

A total of 258 of those flights within, into, or out of the United States at Boston Logan International Monday have been delayed, while 68 flights within, into, or out of the United States today have been canceled, the website reports.

Debby made landfall as a Category 1 hurricane in northern Florida Monday morning. It was later downgraded to a tropical storm.

Meanwhile, the impacts on the Boston region are expected to be felt throughout the week.

According to the National Weather Service, there is a marginal risk for severe weather in Boston today and a severe thunderstorm watch has been issued this evening for Essex County.
