Coi Leray, a rapper known for songs like “Baby Don’t Hurt Me” and “Players,” is pregnant with her first child with fellow rapper Trippie Redd.

Leray, whose full name is Coi Leray Collins, was born in Boston, Massachusetts, and raised in Hackensack, New Jersey. She is the daughter of rapper Benzino, who also grew up in Massachusetts.

The 27-year-old announced the news on her Instagram Wednesday alongside a carousel of photos, including several of her growing baby bump. On her Instagram story, Leray also said she is more than four months pregnant.

“I’m a rock star mommy,” she wrote. “We ready for 2025.”

Rapper Coi Leray is pregnant and expecting her first child with her boyfriend and fellow rapper Trippie Redd.

Leray rose to prominence after a remix to her song “No More Parties” reached the Billboard Hot 100 list in 2021. She is also known for songs like “Blick Blick” with Nicki Minaj and “Self Love” with Metro Boomin.

The 27-year-old was also recently named to the annual Forbes 30 Under 30 list, which recognizes rising talent in fields like sports, Hollywood, social media and more.

Where is Coi Leray from? Her ties to Boston

Coi Leray was born in Roxbury, she said in a 2021 interview.

“Yeah, I’m from Boston,” she said in the interview. “My mom was born in Boston, my dad was born in Boston, my brothers was born in Boston.”

Her father is the rapper Benzino, who she has publicly feuded with.

Benzino, whose real name is Raymond Scott, was formerly a member of the Boston-based group Almighty RSO.

In 2014, Benzino was shot during his mother’s funeral procession in Duxbury. His nephew, Gai Scott, was later sentenced to more than two years in jail for the shooting.
