Point guard Derrick White added 25 points on 7-of-12 from deep, continuing his red-hot postseason. After averaging just 15.2 PPG in the regular season, White is scoring 22.8 PPG in the playoffs, second on the team behind Brown.
Jayson Tatum is only averaging 21.2 points in the postseason (down from 26.9 PPG in the regular season) but leads the team in assists (5.3 APG) and rebounds (10.5 RPG).

Donovan Mitchell had a game-high 33 points for Cleveland in a losing effort, shooting 12-of-25 from the field. Evan Mobley added 17 points and game-high 13 rebounds but he was the only Cleveland player with more than seven boards.

Mitchell’s Game 2 point total has been increased from 27.5 to 29.5, while Brown’s has gone up from 23.5 to 25.5. Tatum’s is still at 27.5 even though he hasn’t scored more than 22 points in four straight.
Cavaliers vs Celtics Game 2 Predictions
With Jarrett Allen out, the Cavs just aren’t big enough to compete on the glass, and they don’t have the offensive firepower to keep up if they aren’t getting extra possessions.
It’s not certain that Allen will be out again in Game 2, but his recovery is apparently not progressing quickly, and he wasn’t at the Cavs shootaround on Thursday morning.
With Allen likely to miss his fifth straight game, bettors can expect a similarly dismal performance from Cleveland on the glass and another lopsided Boston victory.
CLE vs BOS Game 2 picks:
- Celtics -13.5 (-110)
- Tatum under 27.5 points (-125)
- White over 17.5 points (-108)
