Boston Scientific Corporation has announced the election of David Habiger to its board of directors, effective immediately. Habiger brings over three decades of business leadership experience to the role. Currently, he serves as the president and chief executive officer of J.D. Power, a position he has held since 2018. Before joining J.D. Power, he founded and was a partner at Silicon Media Partners. His extensive career also includes serving as the CEO of various private and publicly held technology companies, such as Textura, NDS Group, and Sonic Solutions.

In addition to his new role at Boston Scientific, Habiger serves as a director on the Chicago Federal Reserve Board, where he contributes to the Governance, Human Resources, and SABOR (Systems Activities, Bank Operations and Risk) Committees. His broad governance experience extends to several public and private boards, and he is a member of the board of trustees at Rush University Medical Center. Habiger holds an M.B.A. from The University of Chicago, and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from St. Norbert College.

The addition of Habiger to the board is expected to strengthen Boston Scientific’s strategic direction, particularly in navigating the complexities of the healthcare and technology sectors. His leadership and insight will be valuable assets as the company continues to innovate and expand its product offerings to improve patient care globally.

“We are pleased to expand our board of directors with an accomplished executive who brings a wealth of experience leading technology companies through times of pivotal growth,” said Mike Mahoney, chief executive and chairman of the board, Boston Scientific. “We welcome Dave and look forward to his insights as Boston Scientific continues to deliver solutions that transform lives.”
