Boston College Ties For Fourth at Cougar Classic – Boston College Athletics

CHARLESTON, S.C. — Boston College jumped five spots during Tuesday’s final round, finishing in a tie for fourth place at the Cougar Classic, held at the Yeamans Hall Club.  The Eagles (+13; 294-285-286=865), tied No. 22 Florida and beat No. 21 Ole Miss in a highly competitive field.

Cynthia Zhang was BC’s top finisher, tying for 13th place.  Zhang’s best round was her 3-under 68 on the final day of play (73-72-68=213).  Emily Böhrer was 38th overall, setting the pace during Monday’s two rounds of play (71-70-77=218).  

Frances Kim and Angel Lin tied for 44th place (219).  Kim improved each round, carding scores of 74-73-72, while Lin posted her best score – a 1-under 70 – during Monday’s second round (76-70-73=219).  Ana Lucia Trevino – in her first collegiate tournament – posted her best score of the tournament on Tuesday, carding a 73.

The Eagles return to action on Sept. 23-24 at Blue Hills Country Club when they host the Red Bandanna Invitational.
