Kamala Harris conceded her defeat to President-elect Donald Trump. Speaking at Howard University on Wednesday, Harris said “outcome of this election is not what we wanted, not what we fought for, not what we voted for. But hear me when I say: The light of America’s promise will always burn bright.” She went on to say that while she concedes, she will continue her fight “for freedom, for opportunity, for fairness and the dignity of all people.” Her address sparked speculation that she might be “prepping for a 2028 run.”
“She gave a pretty decent concession speech. I think she thinks that she’s going to have a 28 run,” one person wrote on X.
Another commented, “I think she’s trying to set herself up for a 28 run, that won’t happen.”
A third person wrote, “She is speaking like she is gonna run for 28. she should know that democrats will close the doors to her for good… she had the worst campaign ever…”
