Boston never gets old — for Zendaya.

The 28-year-old Emmy winner has been spending time in Beantown while filming her upcoming movie “The Drama” with Robert Pattinson, and while she’s one of the most recognizable faces in Hollywood, a local news station was mocked when it aired b-roll footage of Zendaya and her mom on a casual afternoon in town without reportedly clocking it was the A-lister and her loved one.

On Sunday, Dec. 1, Boston’s WCVB Channel 5 aired a video from the first day of the city’s holiday festivities in the popular shopping district on Newbury St. — and caught Zendaya and her mom, Claire Stoermer, although seemingly unbeknownst to the news crew, according to TikTok user @chlomance.

The station appeared to catch the slip because it replayed the clip on Monday, Dec. 2, per People, which showed two young girls in the frame in awe as the “Euphoria” star and her mother walked by, with the subtitle “star-studded stroll.”

One of WCVB’s reporters acknowledged the hilarious error. WCVB

“WCVB Channel 5 shooting b-roll and not clocking they got Zendaya,” @chlomance captioned the footage from Sunday’s broadcast, adding two cry-laughing emojis.

“I saws that and was yelling at the TV!” one person commented on the video of the “Spider-Man” actress and her mom. “They would do this 💀,” another reacted.

“Breaking news tomorrow morning,” joked a third. “That’s hilarious to get her and her mom 😂 I just wanna know if she seen it,” added someone else.

The b-roll fumble got around because even WCVB reporter Matt Reed commented on the viral social media clip. “Thanks for letting us know!” he commented.

The “Dune” star has been spending significant time in Boston and surrounding areas over the past several months while filming the American romance with Pattinson.

On Nov. 19, Zendaya and her co-star were seen on set in Andover, Massachusetts, which is about 30 minutes outside of the city. Boston.com first reported on Oct. 17 that Zendaya was in The Hub.

Zendaya’s mom is a school teacher and owns a jewelry line. She filed for divorce from the actress’ father, Kazembe Ajamu Coleman, in 2016 after 8 years of marriage. They said “I do” when Zendaya was 12.

While Zendaya is their only child together, the star has five older step-siblings from her dad’s previous marriage, according to People.

Her mother isn’t the only loved one who’s come to Boston to visit Zendaya.

“The Greatest Showman” actress’ boyfriend Tom Holland was in the city on Nov. 8. Following his visit, the actor shared a series of rare photos and videos from a date night at a bar called Foxhole in Newbury St.

Zendaya and Pattinson were confirmed to be co-stars for the upcoming feature film in Aug.

The Hollywood Reporter and Deadline reported the movie follows “a couple whose romance changes dramatically before their big day.” The flick’s release date has not yet been set.
