Person attacked by their dog in Boston dies

One of the two people attacked by their dog inside a house in Boston has died, police said Tuesday.

Around 4:29 p.m. on Monday, police said a man and a woman were attacked by a dog on Dennison Street in the Roxbury neighborhood. Police believe they were both the owners of the dog.

An officer at the scene shot the dog and both people were brought to a local hospital, according to the Boston Police Department.

The woman’s injuries were considered life-threatening when she was brought to the hospital.

Two police officers were also injured while they were trying to help the two people in front of the house, police said. Their injuries were minor.

The incident is still under investigation.
