Payton Pritchard on what drives the Boston Celtics this season

Must Read

Some NBA players need to hear the roar of the crowd to get their motor running and score at a high level, but after a dead crowd left the arena feeling a bit flat in the Boston Celtics‘ recent blowout of the Washington Wizards, reserve Celtics guard Payton Pritchard made a point of noting how Boston isn’t dependent on such crutches — or hate.

“That should never be a problem, especially with our group,” explained the Oregon native. “We love to play basketball. There could be nobody in the gym, and we’d want to hoop –– even if it’s an empty arena, we’re going to come in and play hard.”

The blowout win was Pritchard’s practical explanation point, and the conversation was captured by the folks behind the “CLNS Media Boston Sports Network” YouTube channel. Check it out below!
