Climate protesters lock themselves to State House gates

Must Read

Climate protesters locked themselves to the State House gates Monday, saying they won’t move until they are removed by the police or until the state bans new fossil fuel infrastructure. Extinction Rebellion Boston released the photo of three protesters chained to the gates and blocking much of the building’s General Hooker entrance. Legislation to overhaul siting and permitting in an effort to advance clean energy projects is hung up in a conference committee. That bill does not include the ban on fossil fuel infrastructure sought by activists. (COURTESY PHOTO/SHNS)
