The best casino hotel in America is in New England, according to USA Today readers

Mohegan Sun visitors who stay overnight at the casino hotel are all winners, according to USA Today readers.

The publication recently released a list of the 10 best casino hotels in America, part of its 2024 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards, and Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, Conn. ranked No. 1.

Here is what USA Today wrote about Mohegan Sun:

Mohegan Sun has two hotel towers with more than 1,500 guest rooms and suites, perfect for relaxing between trips to their casinos. Mohegan tribal stories come to life throughout the hotel’s design, and rooms are outfitted with the latest technologies, like lightning-fast Wi-Fi and intelligent thermostats. Other amenities include fitness centers, pools, and the Mandara Spa.

Mohegan Sun also ranked No. 5 on the publication’s list of 10 best casinos outside of Las Vegas. Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket, Conn. ranked No. 2 on that list, beat out only by the top ranked Yaamava’ Resort & Casino at San Manuel in Highland, Calif.

For the 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards lists, USA Today travel experts select 20 nominees in topics from food to lodging, destinations to things to do. Then the publication asks readers to cast votes to determine the top 10.
