Goldman Sachs brings on two managing directors to propel infra fundraising efforts

Goldman Sachs is expanding its alternatives capital formation group with the hires of Sydney McConathy and Tani Burge, two esteemed professionals who will drive fundraising efforts for infrastructure investments.

McConathy, who has been appointed as managing director at Goldman Sachs, joins from BlackRock, where she was previously a managing director and led investor relations and the product strategy infrastructure equity team in North America, according to her LinkedIn page. At BlackRock, McConathy represented BD and client relations across the firm’s diversified, climate infrastructure and evergreen strategies. Before that, she served as senior managing director, global head of business development at Manulife Investment Management. According to The United Business Journal, McConathy will be based in Boston for Goldman Sachs, and she will focus on driving capital-raising initiatives and strengthening client relationships within the firm’s infrastructure strate
