How to read the horoscope

Must Read

When I was younger, I didn’t relate at all to my zodiac sign, which is Virgo. I didn’t feel picky or tidy. Years and years later, the enlightenment. Helped by the fact that the world of stars was becoming increasingly popular and discussed everywhere, from television to social media, I understood where the catch was: you had to read not only the Sun but also the Moon and the Ascendant, the Descendant, and the main planets, including Venus, Mars, and Mercury, each with its own meaning and sphere of influence on an aspect of our character or life. How difficult! Reading a horoscope immediately became more complex than we imagined. And so?

Read them all, but trust only a few

Sometimes our lives don’t go as we wish, and the horoscopes we read online or at the end of paper magazines just add insult to injury with their cold, negative, neutral, and vague phrases. We would like a little spiritual guidance, a compass in the storm, but we are a bit confused, we don’t feel fully represented, and it’s frustrating. What’s wrong? A good rule is to be cautious. Reading horoscopes is fun, of course, but we don’t necessarily have to trust everyone we consult. Usually, there are some that resonate more with us: let’s trust and read those continuously, investigate: who writes it? Trust our intuition, it will guide you.

Don’t take it personally

Sometimes we misinterpret, we delude ourselves that there is only one right way to be, for example, a Gemini. We take advice and forecasts extremely literally or personally. Astrology is a complex and multifaceted discipline, and it’s normal that a small text cannot encompass the experience of all human beings of that sign. Let’s try to be open to what we read, consider things from different perspectives, and never too literal. Even our reaction to a certain “prediction” can tell us a lot about ourselves.

Don’t ignore your moon (and the rest)

As mentioned, reading the horoscope of our sign might not be enough. Let’s learn, when we delve into the astrology page, to read at least 2 or 3 signs in our natal chart. Let’s start with the Moon, then Ascendant, maybe also Venus (related to the field of love), Mercury (related to the field of communication), and Mars (to that of conflict). Gradually, we could have a much more complete, deep, and nuanced picture not only of who we are but also of the day, week, month, or season that awaits us. Perhaps, this way, you’ll discover why you’ve never felt fully represented by your sign. And then, it’s more fun! If we don’t feel like keeping all this in mind, we can always rely on a professional, the important thing is not to replace them with a psychologist or therapist.
