NASHUA, N.H (WHDH) – Boston police warned drivers to expect delays Tuesday as President Joe Biden visits the city.

The Boston Celtics in a separate message shared a “transportation alert” urging fans to allow extra time when traveling to Tuesday’s playoff game against the Indiana Pacers.

Air Force One landed in Manchester, New Hampshire late Tuesday morning ahead of a scheduled event in Nashua where Biden was set to speak to veterans and their families about legislation for veterans exposed to burn pits or other toxic chemicals.

After speaking in Nashua, Biden is set to travel to Boston for a series of fundraisers.

Boston police in a post on X Monday afternoon said residents will likely see traffic disruptions near Logan Airport, the Back Bay, and the Seaport between 12 p.m. and 8 p.m. due to the presidential visit.

In their post near 12:45 p.m. Tuesday, the Celtics shared the police department’s message and similarly told fans to “expect delays.” Tipoff for Tuesday’s Celtics/Pacers Eastern Conference Finals game is set for 8 p.m.

In addition to planned road closures, a pro-Palestinian group is expected to hold a protest while Biden is in Boston, potentially further snarling traffic in the city.

Officials first announced Biden’s New England trip last week. In visiting New Hampshire and Massachusetts, Biden follows a previous trip in December during which he appeared at a trio of campaign fundraisers in Boston.

Biden’s December visit was also met with some protests.

The White House did not immediately share additional information regarding the time or location of Biden’s latest local fundraisers.
