HOROSCOPES BY HOLIDAY, BY HOLIDAY MATHIS

This full moon has the feel of a slumber party. The close vicinity of friends will bring enough joyful adrenaline to fuel a night filled with more laughter than sleep. Names for the full moon in Sagittarius include the hare moon, corn planting moon and milk moon. But the one most fitting now is the flower moon, as the youthful energy opens like a fresh blossom.

ARIES (March 21-April 19). A secret can be fun, like a spring-loaded surprise, or it can be more like a burdensome rock that weighs you down. With the latter kind, it’s not possible to be fully effective while also managing how to hide the information. Consider declassifying it.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20). To some extent you can manage how you feel and deal, and you’ll do all you can, though it’s good to recognize that it’s not always within your control. Offer self-compassion on the matter, as processing styles vary from brain to brain.

GEMINI (May 21-June 21). The variety of tones you bring to interactions makes a relationship interesting and beautiful. Sometimes you do this on purpose, but it’s always nice when it happens organically because the other person really brings out different facets of you.

CANCER (June 22-July 22). Through consistency, you are building trust in a relationship. You’ll be punctual and show up strong, knowing that every little gesture counts. You’ll meet expectations time and again until you eventually exceed them.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22). Old patterns, items and even relationships will be categorized. You’re seeing with stark clarity what is useful and what isn’t. You’ll file, refine or apply what’s useful. As for the rest, you’ll retire it.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22). It’s not always the case, but today the presence of loved ones will lift you up and remind you of your worth. Also, you will have to be strong for someone else — a gift that will reveal to you your own strength.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23). It’s natural to assume others have similar strengths and abilities to our own. But, as you will note from today’s discourse, just because a lot of people have a certain set of life skills doesn’t mean everyone does.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21). The quality of your work will depend on the information you gather before you begin. If you spend the entire day researching, it will pay off in the end. You’ll arrive at conclusions you weren’t expecting.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21). Some people seem to need saving on a regular basis. You’ve come to the rescue before, and you’ll do it again. But at some point, you have to wonder if it’s keeping someone from helping themselves.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19). In some games, the only way to win is not to play. Avoid toxic cultures defined by aggression and competition. Focus on improving your own work in your own way.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18). Responsiveness to the challenge at hand requires versatility. Counterintuitive moves will be necessary to stay on track. It’s like keeping a car on the road. Sometimes you must steer left and other times right.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20). Your actions are not the only things that affect others. Attitude and energy level are highly influential factors. Feel good about what you do, and do what you feel good about.

TODAY’S BIRTHDAY (May 23). A year of discovery and rapid development into the person you want to be. The “ah-ha” moments will be numerous though understated — no fireworks, but nonetheless transformative. More highlights: a dream makeover of one area of your life, the means to cross a big one off your bucket list, and a reward for giving knowledge and wisdom to the next generation. Libra and Capricorn adore you. Your lucky numbers are: 18, 13, 20, 25 and 7.
