If you’re ready for some fun that will make your heart race, look no farther than the Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series coming to Boston.
The cliff-diving competition is coming back to Boston for the third year in a row and is sure to leave audiences breathless.
“From plunges reaching speeds exceeding 52 miles per hour to jaw-dropping twists and somersaults from dizzying heights of up to 90 feet – nearly triple that of Olympic diving – these competitors continue to redefine the limits of human potential, highlighting their extraordinary talents as they execute dives of increasing complexity during their three-second freefalls,” the event organizers said.
Here’s what to know about the event.
It will take place “high atop the Institute of Contemporary Art in the Seaport,” according to event organizers. The institute is located at 25 Harbor Shore Dr. Boston.

The cliff-diving competition will happen on June 7 and 8 and will once again be the only U.S. stop, according to organizers. Friday, June 7 will be a practice round, taking place from noon until 4 p.m. On Saturday, June 8, the qualifying round – where people can watch the event for free – will take place, also from noon until 4 p.m.
The organizers of the event stressed that spectators are encouraged to arrive early at 10 a.m. when gates open to secure prime outdoor viewing spots.

Red Bull Cliff Diving height and what else to know about the event
The platforms are at 27 meters (88.5ft) for the men and 21 meters (69ft) for the women.
Organizers stated that the cliff-diving competition will feature 24 of the “world’s most elite high-divers leaping, twisting, and somersaulting into Boston Harbor in front of thousands of spectators.
“The 2024 series embarks on a thrilling journey with eight stops across four continents and eight different countries. Twenty-four elite athletes from 17 different countries – 12 men and 12 women – compete at every stop to earn maximum championship points and vie for the prestigious King Kahekili trophy, awarded to the best female and male high divers of the year. Divers are judged by a panel of expert judges on their acrobatics and artistic moves during each dive.”
The event can be held in sunny, overcast and even rainy conditions. But if there is wind or lightening, that can delay, pause or even cancel the event for safety.
